Outside of Work
I have expensive hobbies. 😍 I love sea kayaking and river kayak camping, and I've paddled multiple oceans — kayaking in Ireland; kayak camping and island hopping in the Bahamas; the same up north of Vancouver in British Columbia (though there, the sand was replaced by rocks); and in Alaska. I've also done self-supported beach camping while kayaking over 100 miles on both sides of Baja, Mexico, during a two-week vacation. This summer, I'll finalize my last of the Great Lakes — Ontario.
I'm a photographer. One of my photo art pieces — of the Vietnam Wall and Soldier's Monument in Washington, D.C. — has been published in a Japanese textbook. I like to scuba dive in warm water, and belong to a women's sporting club.
In addition, I create quilts for charity. My quilts are donated to the Quilts of Valor Foundation (QOVF ❤️🤍💙), which honors veterans from all wars — WWII and beyond — and over the last five years, I've also donated many quilts to children foster and hospital foundations. These types of donations all cost (quilt material runs up to $14 a yard in some cases 🤪). I'd like to say I retired well... and I did — but everything is relative. 😂

A little about me
I'm on my second career. I'm certified in QuickBooks Online and Payroll, but I wasn't always in accounting or bookkeeping — I spent over 30 years working in analytical processes, structured problem solving, and data crunching for a Fortune Top 25 company. I hold a Bachelor's in Computer Science and a Master's in Quality, and I'll admit it:

Along the way, I've dabbled in small business myself, so I know firsthand how difficult it can be. That's exactly why I decided to focus on something I knew I could do well — and hopefully help others navigate their own entrepreneurial journey, as challenging as it can sometimes be.
